Daily Dose For May 17

Daily Dose For May 17

Memory Verse Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” Ruth 1:16,17 NLT

Judges 2:6-3:6 Psalms 137

“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”
― Henri Nouwen, Out of Solitude: Three Meditations on the Christian Life

Jesus, in this time, we are devoted more and more to doing the right thing. Before You came in our life, we did this with the thinking of our human minds. But in our new life, born again, we truly seek to do what You say is right. For there is no wrong in Your decision. Jesus, the plague in this world today, has produced a distance between people and now the distancing is slowly being lifted off. It is like "should we or shouldn't we?" So today, LORD, as we venture out, may we do Your will and if the needs of provision are the reason, may all be protected. We do not fight battles out of rebellion, we fight the battles You have placed us in. So please this day, keep our focus on the less of us, as not negative but truthfully giving the world more of You. Protect Your soldiers Jesus. Keep our focus. Amen  (prayerscross)
