Daily Dose of God's Word For 8-10

Memory Verse: There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called Ephesians 4:4

Read: : When we focus only on God’s Word, we dry up.
When we focus only on God’s Spirit, we blow up.
But when we focus both on God’s Word and God’s Spirit,
we grow up

1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1

Pray

Lord, train us to hear your voice. When it is time to grieve, help us to grieve. When it is time to rejoice, help us to rejoice. When we grow weary, be the strength in our weakness. And may your most beautiful and perfect will, not ours, be done. Amen.

Daily Dose of God's Word For August 8th

Daily Dose of God's Word For 8-8

Memory Verse: There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called Ephesians 4:4

Read: When we focus only on God’s Word, we dry up.
When we focus only on God’s Spirit, we blow up.
But when we focus both on God’s Word and God’s Spirit,
we grow up

Romans 12

Pray

Broadly speaking, when it comes to the landscape of prayer, we can identify two kinds of praying: giving prayer and receiving prayer. In giving prayer we bring to God our praise, our thankfulness, our confession, our intercessions, our needs and concerns, and so on. We talk with God and ask for what we need. Receiving prayer is a quieter, more restful and silent way of praying. I want to suggest that the regular practice of this second kind of praying helps us cooperate with the Holy Spirit in the transformation of our lives.

Holy Spirit, speak to me, open my ears, heart and my hands and feet, to obey.  Amen
