Daily Dose of God's Word For November 16

Memory Verse: But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Malachi 3

Heavenly Father, thank You for the writings of holy men of God, who have told us the end from the beginning and who provided hope and encouragement for all Your children. Thank You that evil men will one day be punished and that those who fear You will receive honor and great glory, in the ages to come. We pray for the people of Israel and the faithful remnant who will, one day, witness the coming of Elijah... and rejoice to see Jesus - their God and King, AMEN.  (https://prayer.knowing-jesus.com/Malachi)

Memory Verse: But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Malachi 2
Heavenly Father, how we praise and thank You that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. Thank You that Your promises to both Israel and the Church are fixed in heaven because of Your goodness and faithfulness. Forgive us for the way that we have gone against You and followed after our own foolish ways and desires. Search my heart I pray and may I be cleansed and made pure in my inner being. Thank You that You have promised that in Christ I shall come forth as purified gold and silver ..to Your praise and glory, in Jesus' name I pray. AMEN. (https://prayer.knowing-jesus.com/Malachi)

Malachi 1
The Great King

Dear heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and grace to all people. Thank You that you have told us the end from the beginning, through faithful men of old like Malachi. Thank You for Your faithfulness in fulfilling Your promises to Your people Israel and that Your precious promises to the Church are all 'Yes' and 'Amen" in Christ Jesus. Thank You that He came at the appointed time to be our Savior and that as many as believe in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. I pray that my faith may grow and that I come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of Your Word and the truths it contains - this I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.  (https://prayer.knowing-jesus.com/Malachi)

2 Timothy 4
Preach it!

Thank you, Lord, for the endless ways you reveal yourself to us. We are so quick to separate heaven from earth, but you shine forth in all things created by your hand. Teach us that to delight in the beauty of the earth is another way of praising you. Amen.(commonprayer.net)

2 Timothy 2
Growing Strong in the grace of Jesus.

Lord, whether we face it or not, we do not live in isolation. Our words and our actions impact our communities. Help us to learn to speak after appropriate silence and reflection. Help us to recognize the work we can put our hands to so we are able to engage with it prayerfully and patiently. Amen. (commonprayer.net)

2 Timothy 1
A Suffering gospel

Lord, you alone can comfort me.  Today, I not only find this world frightening - I am frightened of the evil I am capable of.  I am frightened of that which You ( I believe) would deliver me from, and yet I will not let go.  Help me to let go, Lord.  "Deliver us from evil . . ." You taught us to pray.  Maybe, this fear is part of the lesson.  Amen  (Rich Mullins)
