Daily Dose For November 7

Memory Verse; Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31

Job 40, 42:6    Psalms 125

“Time is the coin of your Life.

It is the only coin you have,

and only you can determine

how it will be spent. Be careful

lest you let other people spend it for you.

And when you spend it, spend it wisely

so that you get the most for

your expenditure.”  Carl Sandburg

Lord, remind us that we are resident aliens, called to be in the world but not of it. Show us today what it means to live as though your kingdom has come while trusting that it is still coming. Amen. (Commonprayer.net)

Job 36, 37    Psalms 123

If we are all seeking truth, why be rude? Why mock? Why curse? Why act out of hate instead of love? We are all human beings who are all hopefully seeking the truth.  That person you insulted online is a person. Correct with gentleness. Love each other. We're all in this together.

Father, Thank You, that the Holy Spirit will lead, guide, counsel and comfort us all throughout this day, as Jesus works in and through us for YOUR GLORY! Forever Amen! (Ervin lee)

“Two suggestions for Christians during the days before and after this election. First, pray like Jesus prayed. Pray for oneness. Second, find a way to love someone with whom you disagree politically. Listen, learn, and love unconditionally.”-- Andy Stanley

God, we are so used to seeing ourselves as individuals with personal destinies. Remind us that we are made in your image, the image of community. Help us to love each other and be made one as you are one. Whisper your love to us and let us whisper your love to the world today. Amen. (CommonPrayer.net)

Job 32, 33    Psalms 121

“The kingdom is not an exclusive, well-trimmed suburb with snobbish rules about who can live there. No, it is for a larger, homelier, less self-conscious caste of people who understand they are sinners because they have experienced the yaw and pitch of moral struggle.” ― Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel: Good News for the Bedraggled, Beat-Up, and Burnt Out

Lord Jesus, we come to You, our Savior, our strength and our song, knowing the decision ahead can only be guarded and guided by You. Lord, we lift our voice in praise to You and in prayer for every person called by Your name to go and cast their vote. We lift up shouts of joy when our leaders incline their hearts to You; when they seek Your face and for Your will to be done. Preserve America in the shadow of Your wings, in the authority of Your power, and in the name that is above every name, the precious name of Jesus, all for Your honor and glory we pray… and vote. Amen. (NationalDayOfPrayer)

Daily Dose For November 1 Reformation Day

Memory Verse; Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31

Job 29, 30    Psalms 119

“In short, I will preach it, teach it, write it, but I will constrain no one by force, for faith must come freely without compulsion. Take myself as an example. I opposed indulgences and all the papists, but never with force. I simply taught, preached and wrote God’s Word; otherwise I did nothing. And while I slept, or drank Wittenberg beer with my friends Philipp and Amsdorf, the Word … did everything.”—Martin Luther (1483-1546)

Lord, your saints come from every nation and every tribe. Such is the beauty of your kingdom, where every race and -people are honored and recognized as being made in your image. Help us live lives of peace and reconciliation that pay homage to the diversity of your great cloud of witnesses. Amen (commonprayer.net)
