Memory Verse; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Ezekiel 9-10 Psalms 51

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming a human being

so I do not have to pretend or try to be a God.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming finite and limited

so I do not have to pretend that I am infinite and limitless.

I thank you, crucified God, for becoming mortal

so I do not have to try and make myself immortal.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming inferior

so I do not have to pretend I am superior to anyone . . .

I thank you, for being weak, so I don't have to be strong.

I thank you, for being considered imperfect and strange,

so I do not have to try so hard to be perfect and normal.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for being willing to be disapproved of,

so I do not have to try so hard to be approved of and liked.

I thank you, for being considered a failure,

so I do not have to give my life trying to pretend I am a success.

I thank you, for being wrong by the standards of religion and state,

so I do not have to be right anywhere.

I thank you, be being poor in every way,

so I do not have to be rich in any way.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for being all of the things humanity despises and fears,

so I can accept myself and others in you.

Memory Verse; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Ezekiel 8 Psalms 50

I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit: Perhaps Ezekiel was bitter at his lot as a captive, while others still lived and served in Jerusalem at the temple. Perhaps he was bitter at the difficulty of his call. Perhaps he was bitter at the sin and rebellion of the people of Israel. Whatever the exact cause, Ezekiel was bitter, angry, and stunned (astonished).(https://www.blueletterbible.org/niv/eze/3/1/s_805001)

Lord, teach me to process my anger in healthy ways that enable me to better love you, others, and myself.  Help me to learn to be "angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way." In Jesus' name, amen. (Emotionally Healthy Relationships Day by Day week 4 day 4. Peter Scazzero)

There is no place I would rather be.

There is nothing I would rather do.

There is no one I would rather be with.

This I will remember well. Albert Bormann

Lord, in our work for justice, let us not seek after martyrdom for its own sake, but neither let us turn away from your truth because we fear suffering. Give us the grace to live faithfully whatever the cost. Amen.  (Commonprayer.net)

The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.  African proverb

O Lord God,

Never leave me nor forsake me, but have mercy upon me for your great name's sake. And not for myself alone do I ask these blessings, but for all the poor and needy, all widows and fatherless children, and for the stranger in distress; and may they call upon you in such manner as to be convinced that you are a prayer-hearer and prayer-answering God; and yours shall be the praise, forever.  Amen.  (Maria W. Stewart)

The night may be dark and long, but all along the way, a mysterious and radiant dawn seems to shine on the horizon.―Alexander Schmemann, "Great Lent: Journey to Pascha"

Lord God, extend our faith so that even when we fail to see the fruit of our planted seeds, we may have the assurance that every inch of soil overturned will lead to a harvest someday. Amen.(Commonprayer.net)
