The Daily Dose of God March 6

Memory Verse; Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. Romans 5:18 NIV

Ezekiel 20 Psalms 58

True community is not born of our efforts in creating a sense of community—it is the natural outcome from the act of loving other people.  A.J. Swoboda, Subversive Sabbath

Jesus, For every day we have lived on this earth, the day You gave us Salvation by Your Love and Mercy is the day we cherish. May this day as we cross paths with souls held strong by the enemy, may they reach out to You and be freed.  For we know, Jesus, that we too were held by the enemy and You came to us in our cry and freed us.  You love all creation and Your Spirit dwells strongly and brightly in our beings.  So this day, may we reach out with Love and lift our souls in the grip of satan's mire. Amen (Prayers Cross)

The Daily Dose of God March 5

Memory Verse; Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. Romans 5:18 NIV

Ezekiel 19 Psalms 57

I used to believe the purpose in life is to find happiness. I don’t believe that anymore. I believe we are all given gifts from our Father, and that our purpose is to offer them to Him. He knows how He wants us to use them. Francine Rivers

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for meeting our faith with power. Though all else be moved and removed, may we stand strong in Your unfailing love, everlasting joy, and fortifying peace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Adah Hutchcraft)

Ezekiel 17-18 Psalms 56

Follow your heart, but be quiet for a while first. Ask questions, then feel the answer. Learn to trust your heart.

Lord, thank you that you meet us in the midst of the storms that we face, always bringing your presence and peace; help us to go through whatever turmoil we are in right now with the simple confidence that we are not on our own.

The Daily Dose of God March 3

Memory Verse; Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. Romans 5:18 NIV

Ezekiel 15-16 Psalms 55

Not all of us are called to be hermits, but all of us need enough silence and solitude in our lives to enable the deeper voice of our own self to be heard at least occasionally. Thomas Merton

Lord, convict us of the need for spiritual disciplines that call us to stillness, centeredness, and contemplation. Remind us that your word is living and present to nurture us, grow us, and sustain us through -Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Commonprayer.net)

Daily Dose of God March 2

Memory Verse; Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. Romans 5:18 NIV

Ezekiel 14 Psalms 54

Each human being, however small or weak, has something to bring to humanity. As we start to really get to know others, as we begin to listen to each other's stories, things begin to change. We begin the movement from exclusion to inclusion, from fear to trust, from closedness to openness, from judgment and prejudice to forgiveness and understanding. It is a movement of the heart. Jean Vanier

Today, Lord, help us make our lives an offering of quiet commitment to thread love through the torn garments of society. Amen. (Commonprayer.net)

Ezekiel 12:21-13 Psalms 53

Father, I am easily distracted and preoccupied when I am with people, but I long to be the kind of person who genuinely listens and is fully present. I ask that you would change me so that I can be a transformative presence for others. In Jesus' name, amen.

Daily Dose of God February 28

Memory Verse; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Ezekiel 11-12:20 Psalms 52

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming a human being

so I do not have to pretend or try to be a God.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming finite and limited

so I do not have to pretend that I am infinite and limitless.

I thank you, crucified God, for becoming mortal

so I do not have to try and make myself immortal.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for becoming inferior

so I do not have to pretend I am superior to anyone . . .

I thank you, for being weak, so I don't have to be strong.

I thank you, for being considered imperfect and strange,

so I do not have to try so hard to be perfect and normal.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for being willing to be disapproved of,

so I do not have to try so hard to be approved of and liked.

I thank you, for being considered a failure,

so I do not have to give my life trying to pretend I am a success.

I thank you, for being wrong by the standards of religion and state,

so I do not have to be right anywhere.

I thank you, be being poor in every way,

so I do not have to be rich in any way.

I thank you, Lord Jesus, for being all of the things humanity despises and fears, so I can accept myself and others in you.(Richard Rohr)
