What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! Praise to the maker of smiles and laughter. Forgive me Father for the times I have chosen unhappiness. Forgive me for all the times I have focused on the rain and not the rainbows. Thank you that my cup runneth over with people that love me. Lord, today help me to give away a smile. Amen REM
