USELESS

Snippet
“I had a professor one time... He said, 'Class, you will forget

almost everything I will teach you in here, so please remember

this: that God spoke to Balaam through his ass, and He has been

speaking through asses ever since. So, if God should choose to

speak through you, you need not think too highly of yourself.

And, if on meeting someone, right away you recognize what they

are, listen to them anyway'.” Rich Mullins

Scripture

Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I

do not inwardly burn?If I must boast, I will boast of the things t

hat show my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus,

who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying.

2 Corinthians 11:29-31

Song
More than useless Reliant K

I feel like, I would like
To be somewhere else doing something that matters
And I'll admit here, while I sit here
My mind wastes away and my doubts start to gather

Whats the purpose? It feels worthless
So unwanted like I've lost all my value
I can't find it, not in the least bit
and I'm just scared, so scared that I'll fail you

And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I'm even here at all
But then you assure me

I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once

So I say if I can't, do something significant
I'll opt to leave most opportunities wasted
And nothing trivial, that life could give me will
Measure up to what might have replaced it

Too late look, my date book
Is packed full of days that were empty and now gone
And I bet, that regret
Will prove to get me to improve in the long run

And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I'm even here at all
But then you assure me

I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once

I’m a little more than useless
And I never knew I knew this
Was gonna the day, gonna be the day
That I would do something right
Do something right for once

I notice, I know this
Week is a symbol of how I use my time
Resent it, I spent it
Convincing myself the world's doing just fine
Without me
Doing anything of any consequence
Without me
Showing any sign of ever making sense
Of my time , it's my life
And my right, to use it like I should
Like he would, for the good
Of everything that I would ever know

I'm a little more than useless
When I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once

I’m a little more than useless
And I never knew I knew this
Was gonna the day, gonna be the day
That I would do something right
Do something right for once
Sentence Prayer

home in You. Amen

JESUS

Snippet
I want neither a terrorist spirituality that keeps me in a perpetual

state of fright about being in right relationship with my heavenly

Father nor a sappy spirituality that portrays God as such a benign

teddy bear that there is no aberrant behavior or desire of mine

that he will not condone. I want a relationship with the Abba of

Jesus, who is infinitely compassionate with my brokenness and at

the same time an awesome, incomprehensible, and unwieldy

Mystery. ” Brennan Manning

Scripture
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because You were slaughtered,
and You redeemed  people
for God by Your blood
from every tribe and language
and people and nation.
You made them a kingdom
and priests to our God,
and they will reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9,10 HCSB
Song
Come On Jesus  Tray Michaels

Come on, Jesus, do what You do in my life

Verse 1

You make beauty from ashes, You break all addictions

Restore the broken hearted, and love the rejected

You fed the five thousand with two loaves of bread

You calmed the sea and storm with just the words You said

Chorus x4

Come on, Jesus, do what You do in my life

Verse 2

You broke the back of Satan when you took the keys from hell

You conquered death so we could have eternal life as well

You’ve come to set the captives free you paid the price on Calvary

With your grace and mercy oh Lord start with me

Chorus

Bridge

Won’t you start with me   Won’t you start with me

Sentence Prayer
When I am lost and lonely,
Jesus, remember me.
When worry threatens to crush my spirit,
Jesus, remember me.
When my words wound someone I love
Jesus, remember me.
When I treat others with contempt, disdain, or worse,
Jesus, remember me.
When you come into your kingdom,
Jesus, remember me.
Welcome me Home.  Amen!

HOPE OF PEACE

Snippet
“While you are proclaiming peace with your lips, be careful to
have it even more fully in your heart.” ― St. Francis of Assisi

Scripture
Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek,
that I live among the tents of Kedar!
Too long have I lived
 among those who hate peace.
 I am for peace;
but when I speak, they are for war.  Psalms 120: 5-7

Song
St Francis Kristene Mueller
http://youtu.be/ZqO3sIgs7v4
There is a love hidden inside your borders
Just waiting to be free, just waiting to be free.
There is a hope hidden inside your borders
Just waiting to be realized, just waiting to be realized.
So keep hoping Saint Francis, you'll be a free man yet,
You'll see the sun shine again over your city streets.
Keep hoping Saint Francis, you'll be a free man yet.
Though darkness covers your sleeping love, it won't last.
Those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength,
I know, those who wait upon the Lord will not be put to shame.
Those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength,
I know, I know, those who wait upon the Lord will not
be put to shame.
And so we wait, so we wait for the sun to shine.
And so we wait, so we wait for You to come.
Keep hoping Saint Francis, you'll be a free man yet,
You'll see the sun shine again over your city streets.

Sentence Prayer
“Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”

Messengers

Snippet
Man is a messenger who forgot the message.
Abraham Joshua Heschel

Scripture
Elisha sent a messenger out to tell him to go and wash in the

Jordan River seven times and he would be healed of every trace

of his leprosy! 2 Kings 5:10 LB

Song
Messengers
Lecrae (feat. For King & Country)

start of lyrics [Hook: For King & Country]
Calling all the messengers
Calling all the messengers
Calling all the messengers
[Verse 1: Lecrae]
We've been given a call
Been forgiven, risen
We livin' to give him our all
Rise up from your past
That's holding you down
This moment is all that matters
The future is now
How will the people know if we don't tell 'em?
If we fail 'em
They're stumbling in the dark
But the lighters that we carryin'
Don't have to wonder your purpose
Or what you're here for
Reflect his image
And show the world what he cares for

[Bridge:]
And I know it's all right
And you know it's your life
And we know that time's running out
Can't wait around cause

[Hook]
[Verse 2: Lecrae]
I've been a lot of places where the scene ain't pretty
I've seen plenty of hate, death and destruction
Where ignorance kills many
The blind leading the blind
We turnin' a blind eye
That alone is a crime
We've got the power to life
I know that we make mistakes
Don't let 'em keep you away
Mercy, love, and His grace
The reason we movin' here
Speak out
Though we've never been qualified to do it
I ain't earned it
I was loved into it
I'm brand new
[Bridge]
[Hook] end of lyrics

Sentence Prayer
Father;
Thank you for loving me, I certainly did not earn it
But Jesus paid for my sin.
Holy Spirit give me a boldness to tell others

what Jesus did for me! Amen R.M.

HUMAN HURT

Snippet
It all began with an honest look and a helping hand.  Could this be God’s
strategy for human hurt? First, kind eyes meet desperate ones.  Next, strong
hands help weak ones. Then, the miracle of God.  We do our small part,
he does the big part, and life at the Beautiful Gate begins to be just that.
Max Lucado Out Live your life 2010 Thomas nelson Pub pg 71
Scripture
If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need
but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and
in truth.   This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we
set our hearts at rest in his presence 1 John 3:17-19 NIV
Song
Do Something Matthew West
I woke up this morning
Saw a world full of trouble now
Thought, how’d we ever get so far down
How’s it ever gonna turn around
So I turned my eyes to Heaven
I thought, “God, why don’t You do something?”
Well, I just couldn’t bear the thought of
People living in poverty
Children sold into slavery
The thought disgusted me
So, I shook my fist at Heaven
Said, “God, why don’t You do something?”
He said, “I did, I created you”

If not us, then who
If not me and you
Right now, it’s time for us to do something
If not now, then when
Will we see an end
To all this pain
It’s not enough to do nothing
It’s time for us to do something

I’m so tired of talking
About how we are God’s hands and feet
But it’s easier to say than to be
Live like angels of apathy who tell ourselves
It’s alright, “somebody else will do something”
Well, I don’t know about you
But I’m sick and tired of life with no desire
I don’t want a flame, I want a fire
I wanna be the one who stands up and says,
“I’m gonna do something”

If not us, then who
If not me and you
Right now, it’s time for us to do something
If not now, then when
Will we see an end
To all this pain
It’s not enough to do nothing
It’s time for us to do something

We are the salt of the earth
We are a city on a hill (shine shine, shine shine)
But we’re never gonna change the world
By standing still
No we won’t stand still
No we won’t stand still
No we won’t stand still

If not us, then who
If not me and you
Right now, it’s time for us to do something
If not now, then when
Will we see an end
To all this pain
It’s not enough to do nothing
It’s time for us to do something [x3]

Sentence Prayer
Lord, We know the importance of doing for others.  Teach us the
importance of being for others, that we might take time to fast
and prayer and dwell with you in order to see more clearly how
you light illuminates the faces of those we struggle
alongside for justice.  Amen.

GAMBLE

SNIPPET
Gambling is entertainment that allows you to steal from others

and entertainment that allows others to steal from you

Roger Miller

Scripture
When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing

them into four shares, one for each of them, with the

undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in

one piece from top to bottom. “Let’s not tear it,” they said to one

another. “Let’s decide by lot who will get it.”

This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled that said,“They

divided my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.”

So this is what the soldiers did. John 19:23,24 ESV

Hey boy, heed what I say
I tell you what it takes to be saved
Living the Word hard and reaching to see His face
You wanna talk shame?
Well son I know
Walking the narrow path
Facing this cruel worlds wrath
Piles n’ heaps upon weighing down my back
You wanna talk pain?
Well son I know
Chorus
And I got
Lying here before me
4 little cards
And you gotta choose
Triple 6 or the King
Hopeless is where your at
You're crying you won't come back
Well there's fire n’ flame with weeping and gnashing of teeth
You think you know pain?
Well son I know

Sentence Prayer
Father:
May I not bust in my hit for eternal life

but trust in the Royal Flush, of Father, Son and Holy Ghost

for eternal life. Amen R.M.

UNFAILING

Snippet

Love is forever, and if it doesn’t last forever it isn’t

love. Dottie Kinnealy

Scripture

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be

removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be

shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says

the Lord, who has compassion on you.Isaiah 54:10

Song
Love Never Fails Brandon Heath
http://youtu.be/8nQy-aP_Koo

Love is not proud
Love does not boast
Love after all
Matters the most

Love does not run
Love does not hide
Love does not keep
Locked inside

Love is the river that flows through
Love never fails you

Love will sustain
Love will provide
Love will not cease
At the end of time

Love will protect
Love always hopes
Love still believes
When you don't

Love is the arms that are holding you
Love never fails you

When my heart won't make a sound
When I can't turn back around
When the sky is falling down
Nothing is greater than this
Greater than this

Love is right here
Love is alive
Love is the way
The truth the life

Love is the river than flows through
Love is the arms that are holding you
Love is the place you will fly to
Love never fails you

SENTENCE PRAYER

Father;

Your eternal love is a greater reality than the wind

Your eternal love is a greater hope than the promise of heaven

Your eternal love is a greater way, teach me how to dance.

Amen R.M.
