WHATEVER #MANCHESTER

WHATEVER

SNIPPET

What gives me the most hope every day is God's grace; knowing that his grace is going to give me the strength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God. Rick Warren

SCRIPTURE

I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible. I Corinthians 7:35 NLT

SONG
WHATEVER COMES REND COLLECTIVE

Lord, whatever comes
Make me steadfast, make me rooted
A cedar planted firm, deeply grounded in Your goodness
Whatever comes

Lord, whatever comes
Be my bedrock, keep me steady
Loyal to Your throne, whatever stands against me
Whatever comes

Be my bravery when I am trembling
Be my courage when my heart is caving in
Be the fireside when I am wandering
Be my Father, whatever comes

Lord, whatever comes
Be my soul, be strong as iron
Bending only when, when I kneel before the "I Am"
Whatever comes

Be my bravery when I am trembling
Be my courage when my heart is caving in
Be the fireside when I am wandering
Be my Father, whatever comes

Whatever comes, oh

Be my bravery when I am trembling
Be my courage when my heart is caving in
Be the fireside when I am wandering
Be my Father, whatever comes

Whatever comes

SENTENCE PRAYER

Father; you're the needed courage, when I am cringing!
Father; you're the needed confidence when I am cowering!
Father; you're the comfort when I am corrupted!

Clear my world until only Your bedrock is left!  Amen

Travel Talks as we Walk with Jesus May 21

Travel Talks as we Walk with Jesus May 21

Monday
Then those people who accepted what Peter said were baptized. About 3,000 people were added to the number of believers that day. 42 They spent their time learning the apostles’ teaching. And they continued to share, to break bread,[d] and to pray together.
The apostles were doing many miracles and signs. And everyone felt great respect for God. 44 All the believers stayed together. They shared everything. 45 They sold their land and the things they owned. Then they divided the money and gave it to those people who needed it. 46 The believers met together in the Temple every day. They all had the same purpose. They broke bread in their homes, happy to share their food with joyful hearts. 47 They praised God, and all the people liked them. More and more people were being saved every day; the Lord was adding those people to the group of believers. Acts 2:41-47 ICB

What did the first Christians do, that helped them love each other and God?

Tuesday
Jesus said, “Believe me, woman. The time is coming when you will not have to be in Jerusalem or on this mountain to worship the Father. 22 You Samaritans worship what you don’t understand. We Jews understand what we worship. Salvation comes from the Jews. 23 The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. That time is now here. And these are the kinds of worshippers the Father wants. 24 God is spirit. Those who worship God must worship in spirit and truth.”  John 4:21-24

What does Jesus mean worship God in Spirit and Truth?

Wednesday
Max Lucado in his book for “Cure for the Common Life.’  Writes; Paul gives this relationship rule for the church: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.” Romans 12:10 NIV.  The apostle plays the wordsmith here, bookending the verse with fraternal -twin terms.  He begins with “philostorgos”  (philo means friendly; Storgos mean family love.)  and concludes with “Philadelphia” (“phileo”  Means affection, “adelphia means brethren.)  An awkward but accurate translation of the verse might be “have a friend/family devotion to each other in a friend/family sort of way.”  If Paul doesn’t get us with the first adjective, he catches us with the second.  In both he us the church is God’s family.  And family is not singular but plural!  You didn’t pick me.  I didn’t pick you.  You may not like me.  I may not like you.  But since God picked and likes us
both, we are family.  Family is not singular but plural! And according to Romans 12 we are to treat each other as friends!

Who do we need to treat as a friend?  How will we treat them?

Thursday

If a person believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from his heart. This is what the Scripture says.” John 7:38 ICB

Here is a blog that talks on how to build a thirsty bird

How can we Perpetually believe in Jesus?

Friday

The church everywhere in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had a time of peace. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the group became stronger. The believers showed that they respected the Lord by the way they lived. Because of this, the group of believers grew larger and larger. Acts 9:31

How do we show we respect Jesus?

Today how will I live differently?

Saturday

The church everywhere in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had a time of peace. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the group became stronger. The believers showed that they respected the Lord by the way they lived. Because of this, the group of believers grew larger and larger. Acts 9:31

How will I be the Church?

  1. Go to church meeting Sunday Morning
  2. Pray for church Sunday Morning
  3. Pray for one fellow Christian

Sunday

Do you Know this month’s Memory Verse?

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.  Matthew 16:18
