SEEK

Snippet
If we only had eyes to see and ears to hear and wits to

understand, we would know that the Kingdom of God in the sense

of holiness, goodness, beauty is as close as breathing and is

crying out to born both within ourselves and within the world; we

would know that the Kingdom of God is what we all of us hunger

for above all other things even when we don’t know its name or

realize that it’s what we’re starving to death for. The Kingdom of

God is where our best dreams come from and our truest prayers.

We glimpse it at those moments when we find ourselves being

better than we are and wiser than we know. We catch sight of it

when at some moment of crisis a strength seems to come to us

that is greater than our own strength. The Kingdom of God is

where we belong. It is home, and whether we realize it or not, I

think we are all of us homesick for it.” ― Frederick Buechner

Scripture

“So don’t worry at all about having enough food and clothing.
Why be like the heathen? For they take pride in all these things
and are deeply concerned about them. But your heavenly Father
already knows perfectly well that you need them, and he will give
them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he
wants you to.
“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your
tomorrow too. Live one day at a time. Matthew 6:32-34 TLB

Seek the Kingdom
by Kings Kaleidoscope
http://youtu.be/YdmZ-dv5qsw

I’ve been anxious, I can’t sleep
Worthless worries, burden me
I hunt the sun, chase the wind
Till my tired spirit spins into the ground
When I try to take control
Fear and terror grip my soul
I need joy, I need peace
I need rest I need relief
I look to you, and you teach me to
Seek your kingdom
Seek your righteousness
See the ravens, they can’t farm
They don’t have silos, trucks or barns
But our God sees their needs
And he loves them and he feeds them everyday
See the lilies, how they grow
They don’t work or buy their clothes
But if God, by his grace, clothes the grass with great array
Then how much more, is there in store, when I
Seek your kingdom
Seek your righteousness
I will seek your kingdom
Seek your righteousness
When I’m worried about tomorrow, you will guide me through
All these things in my life won’t shake me, you’ll take me home
credits
Sentence Prayer
Father:
We have all wandered from you ways.
Teach me to love the skies I’m under
And my own skin.
Help me to know the
Only rest for man is to love

You.  Amen

NOTHING

Snippet
Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind  Kansas Dust in the Wind
Scripture
Meaningless! Meaningless!
says the Teacher.
Utterly meaningless!
Everything is meaningless. Ecclesiastes 1:1,2 NIV

Song
Customary- Left with Nothing
Oh I've chased it all before
Oh, oh, still I'm left with nothing
Oh I've chased it all before
Oh, oh, still I'm left with nothing
Yeah I've change after getting paid
To get what I want, be comfortable every day
So now I'm on that constant looking for ways
To make a dollar no matter what it takes
The stress is my relationship that's the price I pay
To have no one to hang with, I guess that's OK
I'm trying to bring that change and buy and give the days
All the while my social life slowly slips away
Which leaves me to chase another pride of my work
Like I'm the one, I'm the hottest thing on Earth
I'm self-taught, I'm self produced
I do everything myself , including looking like a fool

Sentence Prayer

Jesus; with out you we are nothing. Amen

PRAYER

Snippet
Prayer girds human weakness with divine strength, turns human
folly into heavenly wisdom, and gives to troubled mortals the
peace of God. We know not what prayer can do. C.H. Spurgeon
Scripture
Always be joyful. Pray continually, 18 and give thanks whatever
happens. That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus. 1

MAKE MY LIFE A PRAYER                               Keith Green
http://youtu.be/AjcD3oWBJIw
You make my life a prayer to You
I wanna do what You want me to
No empty words and no white lies
No token prayers no compromise
I wanna shine the light You gave
Through Your Son You sent to save us
From ourselves and our despair
It comforts me to know You're really there
Well I wanna thank You now for being patient with me
Oh it's so hard to see, when my eyes are on me
I guess I'll have the trust and just believe what You say
Oh You're coming again, You're coming to take me away
I wanna die and let You give Your life to me, so I might live
And share the hope You gave to me, the love that set me free
I wanna tell the world out there, You're not some fable or fairy
tale That I've made up inside my head, You're God the Son
You've risen from the dead
Oh I wanna thank You now for being patient with me
Oh it's so hard to see, when my eyes are on me
I guess I'll have the trust and just believe what You say
Oh You're coming again, coming to take me away
I wanna die and let You give Your life to me, so I might live
And share the hope You gave to me
I wanna share the love that set me free
Sentence Prayer
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.

Amen.

HIDING

Snippet
And if you are faithful in Babylon, God will bless you in Jerusalem
(Mark Batterson The Wild Goose Chase Multnomah press 2008 pg 40)
Scripture
Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baka,
    they make it a place of springs;
the autumn rains also cover it with pools.[a]
They go from strength to strength,
till each appears before God in Zion.  Psalms 84:5-7 NIV

OUT OF HIDING
Steffany Gretzinger
http://youtu.be/iSvxaGA2pFo
Come out of hiding you're safe here with me
No need to cover what I already see
You've got your reasons but I hold your
peace?
You've been on lock down but I hold the key
And I loved you before you knew what was love
And I saw it all still I choose the cross
And you were the one that I was thinking off
When I rose from the grave
Now read of the shackles, my victory's yours
I tore the veil for you to come close
There's no reason to stand at a distance anymore
You're not far from home
I'll be the lighthouse when you're lost at sea
And I will illuminate everything
No need to be frightened by intimacy
Just throw off your fear and come running to me
Oh
And Oh as you run what hindered love
Will only become part of the story
Baby you're almost home now
Please don't quit now
Sentence Prayer

May the Peace of the Lord Christ go with you: wherever he may
send you;May he guide you through the wilderness: protect you
through the storm: May he bring you home rejoicing: at the
wonders he has shown you; May he bring you home rejoicing:
once again into our doors.  (Common Prayer A Liturgy For

Ordinary Radicals Zondervan pg 399 2010)

NEED

Snippet
God rewards those who seek Him. Not those who seek doctrine of
religion or systems or creeds. Many settle for these lesser
passions, but the reward goes to those who settle for nothing less
than Jesus himself. And what is the reward? What awaits those
who seek Jesus? Nothing short of the heart of Jesus.” Max Lucado
Scripture
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
 Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion;
proclaim among the nations what he has done.
Psalms 9:9-11 NIV
Song
Matt Maher Lord, I need You
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuvfMDhTyMA
Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
You're my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Sentence Prayer
In your mercy, receive us, Lord: and give us grace to cling to you.

ABANDON

Live with Abandon newsboys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SJR2vdJFXw
Chasing after this world makes me tired
Praising my own name leaves me dry
There's gotta be so much more to life than this
A higher calling that I missed
I want my life to count, every breath
I wanna live with abandon
Give You all that I am
Every part of my heart, Jesus
I place in Your hands
I wanna live with abandon
Give You all that I am
Every part of my heart, Jesus
I place in your hands
I wanna leave with abandon
Sentence Prayer
Jesus, Give us courage to confess your name: and go with you against the grain.
Amen

BLESSED BE THE NAME

Snippet
Let God's promises shine on your problems. Corrie Ten Boom
Scripture
And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah,
Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said: “Stand up and praise the
Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.[a]”
“Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all
blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the
heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the
earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You
give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Nehemiah 9:5,6 NIV
Song
Blessed Be Your Name
by Chris Tomlin
http://youtu.be/heRHeX23r70
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
Sentence Prayer
Almighty God;
Blessed Be Your Name
May we lift up our problems
to you in worship, and stand
on your faithful promises.
Yes, you give and take away.
but you always act on behalf

of your children.  Amen
