And if you are faithful in Babylon, God will bless you in Jerusalem  (Mark Batterson The Wild Goose Chase Multnomah press 2008 pg 40)

Jesus, You have blessed our being with Hope. Which is a massive display of Your Power and Strength. There is nothing that can destroy the Grace You have blessed us with. No struggle or hit from the enemy can take away YOU!!! You are GOD and we will not grow weak. The world today is starving for Hope and only You can provide it. So today Jesus, we pray non-stop for the world to see this display of You, coming out of us!!! Amen

Leviticus 27 Psalms 73

The God we encounter everywhere in Scripture, though mysterious to us, though we strain at the leash of language to describe Him faithfully, though we know He is more than our small thoughts can achieve - still, God is truly knowable according to His own self-revelation. We can receive His testimony to Himself at face value without fear of missing who He really is.  Ray Ortland Blog Post: Father, Son, Holy Spirit, September 30, 2011.

Jesus Praise be to You, for You take my weakness and perfect Your strength in my life.  Forgive me; but I hate being weak! I hate not having the answers, not having power or control . But I love to see Your power manifest, so I ask break me with Your love, and resurrect nothing but Jesus in my life! Amen

Memory Verse Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 1 John 3:1 NKJV

Leviticus 24:10-25:55 Psalms 71

The only way to liberate the heart from servitude to the passing pleasures of sin is by cultivating a passion for the joy and delight of beholding the beauty of God in the face of Jesus. What breaks the power of sin is faith in the promise that the pleasures of sin are temporary and toxic but at God's right hand are pleasures evermore (see Psalm 16:11).

Quiet our anxious spirits, Lord, and help us enjoy the peace you give which the world cannot take away. Amen. (commonprayer.net)

“Let nothing disturb you, nothing dismay you. All things are passing, God never changes. Patient endurance attains all things. God alone suffices.” Teresa of Avila

Lord, before the heat of the noonday comes, we are already feeling as though our lives are not full enough. Instill in us this morning the assurance that you are enough for us, God. Your love, your call, your work, is enough. Amen.

Memory Verse Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 1 John 3:1 NKJV

Leviticus 21,22 Psalms 69

The proper understanding of everything in life begins with God. No one will ever understand the necessity of conversion who does not know why God created us. He created us "in His image" so that we would image forth His glory in the world. We were made to be prisms refracting the light of God's glory into all of life. Why God should want to give us a share in shining with His glory is a great mystery. Call it grace or mercy or love - it is an unspeakable wonder. Once we were not. Then we existed - for the glory of God! John Piper Desiring God, Bethlehem Baptist Church, p. 55

Praise to my God, who is Love! Forgive me, for I do not see God as He is, and I do not see myself as I am. I do not see God as the Father He is, and we do not see ourselves as we are. Through Jesus help me to see we are all brothers and sisters. Open my eyes to Your image in everyone I meet today. Amen!

Leviticus 19,20 Psalms 68

"At the higher levels of competitive swimming, something like an inversion of attitude takes place. The very features of the sport that the 'C' swimmer finds unpleasant, the top level swimmer enjoys. What others see as boring—swimming back and forth over a black line for two hours, say—they find peaceful, even meditative, often challenging, or therapeutic. They enjoy hard practices, look forward to difficult competitions, try to set difficult goals. Coming into the 5:30 A.M. practices at Mission Viejo, many of the swimmers were lively, laughing, talking, enjoying themselves, perhaps appreciating the fact that most people would positively hate doing it. It is incorrect to believe that top athletes suffer great sacrifices to achieve their goals. Often, they don’t see what they do as sacrificial at all. They like it.” Daniel Chambliss, The Mundanity of Excellence

Lord, guide us to act, live, and pray as the times determine. Make our faith grow to accommodate the needs of your -people and the fulfillment of your kingdom. Amen.(commonprayer.net)
