The Daily Dose Of God September 25

Memory Verse; You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:18

2 Corinthians 10-11 Psalms 75

Our sorrows are all, like ourselves, mortal. There are no immortal sorrows for immortal souls. They come but blessed be God, they also go. Like birds of the air, they fly over our heads. But they cannot make their abode in our souls. We suffer today, but we shall rejoice tomorrow. C.H. Spurgeon

Our Gracious Father,

Thank You for the presence of Your people throughout the world. We bless You for the ways You make our lives touch so we can encourage and comfort one another in the love of Christ. You knit us together with eternal bonds of charity. As we follow You, we find ourselves walking side by side with each other. Unite our hearts in true worship wherever we meet Your people. In the Name of Christ, amen. (Adah Hutchcraft)

God, I know that being a believer in Jesus doesn’t mean I won’t face troubles, but I know I won’t have to face them alone. Thank You for caring about the things that challenge me—for being near me and giving me courage as I face them. Lord, You are forever my strength…Amen.  (New Dawn@olumideki)

2 Corinthians 4:7-5:10 Psalms 71

A good heart means knowing that I don’t always have one, and that I need God’s help to get there.

“Father, I don’t have a great heart right now, but I want one. God, I am coming to you, asking for a tender and renewed heart. Please help me. Please move in my heart. (Excerpt From: Sam Laing. “Warrior—A Call to Every Man Everywhere.” iBooks. )

The Daily Dose Of God September 20

Memory Verse; You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:18

2 Corinthians 2:14-4:6 Psalms 70

Jesus is both a mirror to our humanity and a window to divinity, a window revealing as much of God as is given mortal eyes to see. When Christians see Christ empowering the weak, scorning the powerful, healing the wounded, and judging their tormentors, we are seeing transparently the power of God at work. William Sloane Coffin

God, you have this. I entrust my life, work, worries—all to You. Help me to live restfully, joyfully, honestly. I pray for my friends reading this that You would come alongside. Rescue us from our own misperceptions about worth. Bring settled, joyful peace. Renew our minds. Amen. (@MaryDeMuth)

The Daily Dose Of God September 19

Memory Verse; You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:18

2 Corinthians 1-2:13 Psalms 69

Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion is to look out to the world; yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good; yours are the hands with which God is to bless -people now. Teresa of Avila

O Lord, our Redeemer, grant me the strength to face this day in peace, and may I greet in peace all whom I meet throughout the day, speaking your word of blessing to each and everyone, so that I might become an emissary of the peace of Christ that heals. Amen. (W. David O. Taylor)
