Memory Verse  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord Psalms 33:12 NASB

2 Kings 3-4 Psalms 20

I find that I agree fully with my good friend Patrick Henry when he said it cannot be emphasized too strongly or to often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on The Gospel of Jesus Christ.(Edward Rutledge)

Father help me, "Shun all giddy, loose and wicked company; they will corrupt and lead you into vice and bring you to ruin. Seek the company of sober, virtuous and good people, who will always show you examples of rectitude of conduct and propriety of behavior which will lead to solid happiness.” – (Thomas Stone) Amen

My first wish is for America to be free. (John Penn)

I desire to bless and praise the name of God most high for appointing me my birth in a land of Gospel Light where the glorious tidings of a Savior and of pardon and salvation through Him have been continually sounding in mine ears. Amen (Robert Treat Paine)

Memory Verse  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord Psalms 33:12 NASB

Catch up day Psalms 17

It is far from our intention, to embarrass your deliberations with a variety of objects; but we cannot pass over matters of so high concernment as religion and learning. The sufferings of the ministers of the gospel of all denominations, during the war, have been very considerable; and the perseverance and firmness of those who discharged their sacred functions under many discouraging circumstances, claim our acknowledgments and thanks. The bill of rights and form of government recognize the principle of public support for the ministers of the gospel, and ascertain the mode. Anxiously solicitous for the blessings of government, and the welfare and happiness of our citizens, and thoroughly convinced of the powerful influence of religion, when diffused by its respectable teachers, we beg leave most seriously and warmly to recommend, among the first objects of your attention on the return of peace, the making such provision as the constitution, in this case, authorizes and approves. (William Paca)

God grant that in America true religion and civil liberty may be inseparable and that the unjust attempts to destroy the one, may in the issue tend to the support and establishment of both.”

(John Witherspoon)

Memory Verse  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord Psalms 33:12 NASB

1 Kings 22 Psalms 16

In every Society also there must be some Taxes, because the necessity of supporting Government & defending the State always exist. To do these on the cheapest Terms is wise, and when it is considered how much men are disposed to indolence and profusion it will appear that (even if those demands did not require the whole of what could be raised) still it would be wise to carry Taxation to a certain amount, and expend what should remain after providing for the support of Government and the National defense in Works of public utility, such as opening of roads and Navigation. (Robert Morris)

My only hope of salvation is in the infinite, transcendent love of God manifested to the world by the death of His Son upon the cross. Nothing but His blood will wash away my sins. I rely exclusively upon it. Come, Lord Jesus! Come quickly!(Benjamin Rush)

Stand upright, speak thy thoughts, declare the truth thou hast, that all may share; Be bold, proclaim it everywhere: They only live who dare.(Lewis Morris)

The bread which is taken, blessed, broken and shared out, is Christ, who is that ladder linking heaven and earth and on which angels ascend and descend. The place in which we celebrate becomes our Bethlehem, a house of bread in which we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, the living and the departed. "Amen"  (Arthur Middleton "Arthur Middleton", of Charleston, South Carolina, was a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence)

"I do not believe that the Constitution was the offspring of inspiration, but I am as satisfied that it is as much the work of a Divine Providence as any of the miracles recorded in the Old and New Testament. " (– Dr. Benjamin Rush Letters of Benjamin Rush, 1:475)

God himself is with us for our captain. Amen
