Daily Dose For May 2

Memory Verse Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” Ruth 1:16,17 NLT

Joshua 3-5:12 Psalms 122

God is the friend of silence. See how nature--trees, flowers, grass--grows in silence; see the stars, the moon, and the sun, how they move in silence.  MOTHER TERESA, A Gift for God

Jesus, no matter what the trial or hardship is, we do draw near to You. Answers are silent but they are there. Our faith is based upon the Truth of Your existence and Your Love. Words are silent not because of disbelief but because we actually do not have them. For Your followers Jesus, it is a time where we just draw near to You and remain silent yet steadfast in Faith. In You. Amen

Joshua 2 Psalms 121

Worship is remembering, rejoicing, and resolving to obey!

Show me the suffering of the most miserable, so I will know my peoples plight. Free me to pray for others, for you are present in every person. Help me take responsibility for my own life, so that I can be free at last. Grant me courage to serve others, for in service there is true life. Give me honesty and patience, so that the Spirit will be alive among us. Let the Spirit flourish and grow, so that we will never tire of the struggle. Let us remember those who have died for justice, for they have give us life. Help us love even those who hate us, so we can change the world. Amen Cesar Chavez

Daily Dose For April 30

Memory Verse I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4 ESV

Joshua 1 Psalms 120

I suspect that if we saw the difference even the tiniest of our prayers made that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our life.  Peter Kreft

Jesus, in a time of need, we pray. There are also many times we need reminded of Who we are praying to and Who gave us the beautiful gift of being able to pray. There are also times when we need to be silent and listen to the answer. In our human minds we think the answer should be exactly what we pray for and we forget Your answer is ALWAYS there and ALWAYS right! Today, we are blessed with a reminder of You, our Father, GOD Almighty opening the door of conversation, through the blessed union, we have through You. May, today, we be vividly reminded of Who created ALL things and Who is totally aware of the battle we are in, the heartache for the lost, and the disease affecting Your creation. May, we not lose sight of who we are and Who you are. Please keep us focused! Amen(prayerscross)

Daily Dose For April 29

Memory Verse I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4 ESV

Catch-up day Psalms 119

Christianity is a divine project of replacing inferior joys in inferior objects with superior joys in God Himself. John Piper Why I Love the Apostle Paul, p. 162.

Lord, because you have made me, I owe you the whole of my love; because you have redeemed me, I owe you the whole of myself; because you have promised so much, I owe you my whole being. Moreover, I owe you as much more love than myself as you are greater than I, for whom you gave yourself and to whom you promised yourself. I pray you, Lord, make me taste by love what I taste by knowledge; let me know by love what I know by understanding. I owe you more than my whole self, but I have no more, and by myself I cannot render the whole of it to you. Draw me to you, Lord, in the fullness of your love. I am wholly yours by creation; make me all yours, too, in love.---St. Anselm of Canterbury

Daily Dose For April 28

Memory Verse I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4 ESV

Catch-up day Psalms 118

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. Charles Spurgeon

Lord, help us to be foolish enough today to stand for you, foolish enough to trust you, foolish enough to call upon you, and foolish enough to wait on you. Amen. (commonprayer.net)

Deuteronomy 34 Psalms 117

Faith rests on the naked Word of God. When we take Him at His Word, the heart is at peace. LB Cowman

Jesus, as another day begins, we are given strength beyond our human existence. You have placed in us the Faith that truly is the strongest weapon against the enemy. Each day, we are exposed to the hits, yes, but the hits do not EVER take Your strength in us away. Keep us focused on the Strength of You and not the weakness we may feel. We continue to lift up the prayer of relief to the afflicted and continue to Praise You for giving us a Strength of Faith. Amen (prayerscross)

Deuteronomy 31:30-33:29 Psalms 116

“First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.” Martin Niemoller

Go before us, God, that we may follow in your steps. Go behind us, God, to steer us when we stray. Go beside us, God, as our strength and our joy for the journey. Amen. (commonprayer.net)
