HOLY

Snippet
Holiness, as taught in the Scriptures, is not based upon
knowledge on our part. Rather, it is based upon the resurrected
Christ in-dwelling us and changing us into His likeness.”
― A.W. Tozer, Preparing for Jesus' Return: Daily Live the Blessed

Scripture
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon

a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with

twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and

with twain he did fly.

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the

Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried,

and the house was filled with smoke.

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man

of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean

lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in

his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched

thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send,

and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah 6:1-8 KJV

Song
What Do I Know Of Holy Addison Road
I made You promises a thousand times
I tried to hear from Heaven
But I talked the whole time
I think I made You too small
I never feared You at all No
If You touched my face would I know You?
Looked into my eyes could I behold You?
[CHORUS]
So What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire? Are You fury?
Are You sacred? Are You beautiful?
So What do I know? What do I know of Holy?
I guess I thought that I had figured You out
I knew all the stories and I learned to talk about
How You were mighty to save
Those were only empty words on a page
Then I caught a glimpse of who You might be
The slightest hint of You brought me down to my knees
[CHORUS]
So What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire? Are You fury?
Are You sacred? Are You beautiful?
So What do I know? What do I know of Holy?
[CHORUS 2]
What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of wounds that will heal my shame?
And a God who gave life it's name?
What do I know of Holy?
Of the One who the angels praise?
All creation knows Your name
On earth and heaven above
What do I know of this love?
[CHORUS]
So What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire? Are You fury?
Are You sacred? Are You beautiful?
What do I know? What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of Holy?
Sentence Prayer
Father, I pray that I might love holiness; show me the

deceitfulness of sin that I might turn from it. I rejoice that Jesus

is my holiness. Help me to draw from Him all that I need to follow

Him in His love of righteousness. Give me a desire to turn from

my sin by pursuing the disciplines of the Christian life that keep

me connected with You all day long.  Amen
