Similarities & Differences?
Today's verse in Genesis may cause you difficulty in how I am linking them together. What links the two verses together and the study of antitype is divine providence. In Providence, God the Father manipulates his own laws for the accomplishment of his ultimate purpose. God respects man’s free will, and he will never overpower our freedom of choice to accomplish his purpose. Only the Almighty can maintain both sovereignty and man's free will in perfect harmony.
Joseph's brothers chose to do evil, God used their choice to send Him to Egypt to save their lives. God sent Jesus into the world not to condemn the world but to save it. Jesus is the end game and it was accomplished without violating man's free will.
This day who will you serve freely?
