Similarities & Differences

I pray you are enjoying the study of how the life of Joseph is a trailer to the life of Christ thousands of years in the future. Both Joseph and Christ were Enthroned with Authority.

There’s no other single person in the Old Testament that typifies Christ like Joseph, and the book of Genesis ends with Joseph reigning over the whole earth by supplying people with food. Christ will reign forever and ever over all the universe by ministering Himself as food to His people for eternity.

As we go through the ups and downs of life sovereignly arranged by God to shape us, break us, transform us, and bring us to maturity.  2 Timothy 2:12 reminds us of our end game; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;" Our sinful mortal bodies are being transformed into Christlikeness until one day we are ruling over the earth with Him.

Little by little and day by day, Christ is being formed in us.  Not by might, not by right, but by His Spirit we are becoming Christ-like. Today, and each day's challenges and rewards just like Joseph are a shadow of the victory to come.
