DEATH ESCHATOLOGY

The Bible Teaches that man is made up of Body, Soul and Spirit. The
body Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the
ground . . .” Genesis 2:7 Which part of man did God form

of the dust of the ground? His body.  “. . .and breathed into his nostrils

the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Genesis 2:7 We

saw that God formed man's body of the dust of the ground. However,

this body did not have life. It was just formed, without life. Then, the

Word of God tells us that God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of

life and man became a living soul". Therefore, what is soul? Soul is

what gives life to the body.  We saw that God formed man's

body of the dust of the ground.

However, this body did not have life. It was just formed, without life.

Then, the Word of God tells us that God "breathed into his nostrils the

breath of life and man became a living soul". Therefore, what is soul?

Soul is what gives life to the body. Leviticus 17:11-14 uses the same

word to describe blood as the life of man.  Without blood you die.

What is interesting; is according to Genesis 1:24 “Then God said, “Let

the earth produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock,

creatures that crawl, and the wildlife of the earth according to their

kinds.” And it was so.”  This word living seems to be the same as the

breath of life and animals would also have blood.  So it seems both

man and animals have a body and soul.  What seems to be different is

verse 26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according

to Our likeness. ”  It seems only man has the image of God, “Spirit of

God”  Spirit of man is the likeness of God in man.  Is all of this a

correct understanding of man’s body, soul and spirit of man?

I understand, at this cross road we have not entered eschatology, but

it is coming.

When Abraham dies and his gathered to his people, in Genesis

25:8.  It is his Spirit, the likeness of God that is gathered to his people.

In 1 Samuel 28 Samuel is contacted from the dead, this is the image

of God being contacted.

Luke 16 is it the Spirit of the Rich Man and Lazarus who enter

Abraham’s bosom and hades?

Luke 23 when Jesus tells the thief he will be with him in Paradise,

that is his spirit correct?

2 Corinthians 5, when we leave this body we are at home with the

Lord.  We are at home, because our body and soul are in the ground,

but our spirit goes to be with God?

This is the Eschatology portion.  In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

verses 13,14 Those what are asleep, does this mean those who have

died and their spirits have gone to God?

Are the verses in 15 and 16 saying the spirits of those who have died,

their spirits will accompany Jesus at His return?  Those spirits will

be reunited with a resurrected body and soul, just as those who are

alive when Jesus returns?

I am trying put a sequence what happens to man when we die, and

after the Second Coming of Christ.  Any resources, or suggestions to

make this concise and brief as possible?
