Hearts

Snippet

All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard,

and will receive what they have asked and desired.  Martin Luther

Scripture

Make a clean heart in me, O God. Give me a new spirit that will not be moved. 11 Do not throw me away from where You are. And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Let the joy of Your saving power return to me. And give me a willing spirit to obey you. 13 Then I will teach wrong-doers Your ways. And sinners will turn to You.
14 Save me from the guilt of blood, O God. You are the God Who saves me. Then my tongue will sing with joy about how right and good You are. 15 O Lord, open my lips, so my mouth will praise You. 16 For You are not happy with a gift given on the altar in worship, or I would give it. You are not pleased with burnt gifts. 17 The gifts on an altar that God wants are a broken spirit. O God, You will not hate a broken heart and a heart with no pride. Ps 51:10-17 NLV

Hello My Old Heart - The Oh Hello's
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKNwx82kPjY

Hello my

old heart
how have you been
are you still there inside my chest?
I've been so worried
you've been so still
barely beating at all

oh, don't leave me here alone
don't tell me that we've grown
for having loved a little while
oh, I don't want to be alone
I want to find a home
and I want to share it with you

hello my old heart
it's been so long
since I've given you away
and every day I add another stone
to the walls I built around you
to keep you safe

hello my old heart
how have you been?
how is it, being locked away?
well don't you worry
in there, you're safe
and it's true, you'll never beat
but you'll never break

nothing lasts forever
some things aren't meant to be
but you'll never find the answer
until you set your old heart free

until you set your old heart free

Sentence Prayer

Christ as a light,
Illumine and guide me!
Christ as a shield, o'ershadow and cover me!
Christ be under me! Christ be over me!
Christ be beside me, On the left hand and right!
Christ be before me, behind me, about me;
Christ this day be within and without me!  Amen

Concluding Prayer of Breastplate of St. Patrick.
