The Daily Dose of God June 7

Memory Verse; For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Mark 3:7-4:34, Proverbs 1:1-7

“Because you’ve been probably been depressed yourself, you’ve had days when you’ve been in terrible pain in places that don’t show up in X-rays, when you can’t find the words to explain even to the people who love you. Deep down, in memories that we might prefer to suppress even from ourselves, a lot of us know that the difference between us and that man on the bridge is smaller than we might wish.” FREDRIK BACKMAN

Dear Lord, I will remain restless, tense and dissatisfied until I can be totally at peace in your house. There is no certainty that my life will be any easier in the years ahead, or that my heart will be any calmer. But there is the certainty that you are waiting for me and will welcome me home when I have persevered in my long journey to your house. Amen (Dr. Henri Nouwen)
