The Daily Dose of God May 20

Memory Verse; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God  Romans 3:23

Matthew 8-9, Ps 133

Most of the things we need to be most fully alive never come in busyness. They grow in rest.”  Mark Buchanan, The Holy Wild: Trusting in the Character of God

Father, Psalms 131 is a journey from Egypt going up to Jerusalem! It is not true yet of me, but Jesus speak these words into reality!  "Lord, my heart isn’t proud.  My eyes aren’t proud either.  I don’t concern myself with important matters. I don’t concern myself with things that are too wonderful for me. I have made myself calm and content like a young child in its mother’s arms. Deep down inside me, I am as content as a young child.  Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forever." NIRV  Holy Spirit, wean this child so I may rest!  Amen (REM)
