Daily Dose For December 27

Memory Verse; He (Jesus) is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

Isaiah 46-47, Proverbs 22:17-29

Christmas in Bethlehem. The ancient dream: a cold, clear night made brilliant by a glorious star, the smell of incense, shepherds and wise men falling to their knees in adoration of the sweet baby, the incarnation of perfect love. Lucinda Franks

In five days, you will be half-way through our two-year journey to read the Bible in its entirety. That is an accomplishment! Most Christian's have not done, so well done! A 2016 LifeWay Research study found 1 in 5 Americans said they had read all of the Bible at least once. However, more than half said they have read little or none of it. So, keep it up. You're almost there!

Lord, we do not always rush to do your will. Often we tiptoe our way into obedience, dragging old habits and mindsets with us. Help us to delight at your voice and to trust that your calling is always good news. Amen. (commonprayer.net)
