Daily Dose of God's Word For November 5

Daily Dose of God's Word For November 5

Memory Verse: But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

1 Timothy 2

Tertullian, one of the early church fathers who lived in North Africa at the close of the second century, gave us a list of some of the things he prayed for the Emperor: First, for a long life. Second, for secure dominions. Third, a safe home. Fourth, a faithful senate. Fifth, for righteous people; and Sixth, for a peaceful world. That is how the early Christians prayed for governmental leaders.

Praise to You Lord Jesus, a ransom for all.  I pray for a long life for our president.  Keep America safe, and the dream of freedom and responsibility, our Creator planted in man's heart.  May our leaders in Americal dwell in safety, so the debate of how best to keep America a Republic thrive.  May, all who have a role to play in leading the American people from the president to the local school board, be faithful to the rule of law.  Holy Spirit send a holy wind, that would destroy the sins of our nation and fan the flame of your righteousness.  So there may be peace on earth and a thirst for your Living Water.  Amen (REM)
