Principle
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. VRS 7

One cannot fear God until arrogance and conceit are gone

Rich Mullins said: "I think it's very hard to allow God to break us. I think it's very hard to be broken. And I think that who the Lord loves He chastens, and that if we'll never be broken we'll never be saved. And that God doesn't break us because He hates us, or because He's angry at us, but we have to be broken, just like you have to break a horse." -- R. Mullins

Be Blessed

The Principle
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; VRS 9

The Benefit

 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. VRS 10

God Relationship

The Principle
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,  and do not resent his rebuke, Vrs 11

The Benefit
because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Vrs 12

Look: What are six Benefits of Wisdom?
1.       1. Obey God’s Commands Proverbs 3:1,2

2.     2.  Be Loving & Faithful Proverbs 3:3,4

3. Trust In The Lord Proverbs 3:5,6

4 Fear the Lord      Proverbs 3:7,8  

5.  Honor the Lord with you First & Best Proverbs 3:9,10

6.  Accept the Lord’s discipline Proverbs 3:11,22
