The Daily Dose of God April 6

Memory Verse; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

Hosea 1-2, Ps 88

If the disciples thought children too small or unimportant for the serious work of the kingdom, they were wrong. Jesus welcomes children, takes them in His arms and declares that of such is the kingdom of heaven. The force of His words is clear. He does not say merely that the kingdom of heaven is for the childlike. He says that the kingdom belongs to them; it is made up of children and of those who come as children. Edmund Clowney

O Great God and Father of Lights,

You are worthy of all our worship because of Who You are and for the excellency of Your greatness. Yet You have done much more than communicate Your existence,  and You have revealed superior insight into Your majesty than creation can manifest. In Christ Your Son we behold Your exact representation. In Him we perceive Your love in that He laid down His life for us. In Him we know the riches of Your goodness,  forbearance,  and long-suffering. In Him we know Your will and righteousness. Not only this, but we taste of Your goodness in forgiveness, sanctification, and newness of Life!  You desire to make known the riches of Your Glory. You fill us with all goodness and knowledge so our praises are an outpouring of insightful gratitude. The effulgence of Your glory is Christ, and Your people are refulgent with His light,  abounding in grace and thanksgiving for all Your wondrous works. In the Name of Christ, amen. (Adah Hutchcraft)
