Manitou Lake

Today March 25th went on my first fishing trip of the year, to manitou lake in Woodland Park, Co. Caught one keeper a 14" rainbow trout on salmon eggs.

Manitou lake is part of Pike National forest, five miles north of Woodland Park on Highway 67. There is a $5.00 entrance fee or a $40 annual national park pass. There is picnic shelters, outhouse and hydrants. A Very easy trail around the lake with benches and docs to fish from. Trout creek flows from the lake overing flyfishing opportunity. With a bold view of the North side of Pikes Peak.
