Our Gracious God,
We entrust to You those cares and sorrows upon our hearts brought to us through others. We are touched by other's lives, at times in grief for their unwise choices, at times by the sting of betrayal or the hurt of disappointment, and oft times in solidarity with their sorrows. These experiences cause us to face that we are not in control. You call us to believe and kneel in prayer. Deliver us from the tyranny of worry and the corruption of bitterness. Hear our prayers as we cry out to You. Hold us as our ineffable pleas pour forth as tears. You are with us. You are our peace, and You are able to do the impossible. Just as we must entrust ourselves to You, so we must entrust others to Your keeping. Be merciful and preserve us in gentleness. In the Name of Christ, amen. (Adah Hutchcraft)
