Memory Verse; The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NIV
Isaiah 62-63:6 Proverbs 30
“Trying to solved man's problems by giving him more power is like trying to tame the wolf by letting it play with the lamb.” Swenson, Richard A. Margin. NavPress, 1992. P.g. 33
Our Gracious God,
In our joy and our pain
You remain faithful.
Through Your mercies
we were not consumed.
Your compassions never failed us.
You are good to those who wait for You,
and to the soul who seeks You.
Give us fresh hope
for the upcoming year,
and the strength to persevere through trials.
You give to each one
the stewardship of time.
Teach us to manage well
the time we are given,
that in everything we
may exemplify Your faithfulness,
generosity, wisdom, strength, and mercy.
Give us the will and the wisdom
to refrain from all that
blinds us from seeing You,
obscures Your voice,
and competes with our love for You.
In purifying our hearts,
sanctify even the mundane
activities of life which are
carried out by necessity.
We never must leave Your presence.
We dedicate ourselves to You afresh.
May we humbly embrace forgiveness
for that which You have cleansed.
Renew a right spirit in us as we
continue to rely upon Your faithfulness.
In the Name of Christ, amen. (Adah Hutchcraft)
