Memory Verse Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” Ruth 1:16,17 NLT

"[Love] is a verb. It’s an active engagement with all kinds of feelings—positive ones and primitive ones and loathsome ones. But it’s a very active verb. And it’s often surprising how it can kind of ebb and flow. It’s like the moon. We think it’s disappeared, and suddenly it shows up again. It’s not a permanent state of enthusiasm." Love is Not a Permanent State of Enthusiasm: An Interview with Esther Perel
Jesus, thank You for giving us love. In this world today, we have put a lot of action in love and we have put a lot of action in hate. This morning You give us a reminder that the difference between love and hate is, only LOVE is a noun and a verb. The enemy of this world has taken hate and reversed its meaning to strengthen his goal of destruction. Hate means to detest, to have extreme dislike...You Jesus, have placed a strong feeling of this towards the suffering, that the enemy has placed on Your creation. You have given us wisdom to know. we are not to hate ANY person, but to Love a person always. Today in a time where abuse is happening, please keep us steadfast in prayer, for Your Love to flood our beings, and we pray that we remain focused on hate is an act against an action not a person. One day Jesus, You end this world of the tainting of Your Word. You are LOVE and You LOVE; Amen. (prayerscross)
