Memorize: Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:5,6
Joseph Jesus
Genesis 41:57 Zech 8:23, Rev 22:2
Similarities and differences?
Notice all nations come to Joseph and Jesus. God's plan has always
been to have all his child around His dinner table. Last Sunday, I talked about
Meritocracy an Idea I stole from David Brooks in a New York Times op-ed page. What is
meritocracy? Rich and successful people are worth more than poorer and less
successful people. Jewish people are worth more than the wretched Samaritans.
Christians are worth more than Muslims. Man is constantly trying to divide between the
insiders and the outsiders.
The life of Joseph & Jesus taught us. .That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through him might be saved. John 3:15-17
Lord, help us to see that our well-being is inextricably bound to the well-being of our
neighbor. Our sorrows are shared. Our longings are shared. Our fears are shared. Enable
us also to share compassion, patience, and courage today. Amen. (CommonPrayer.net)
