Snippet
God creates out of nothing. Wonderful you say. Yes, to be sure,
but he does what is still more wonderful: he makes saints out of
sinners.” ― Søren Kierkegaard, The Journals of Kierkegaard
Scripture
To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are
sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, together with all
those who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, both their Lord and ours: 1 CORINTHIANS 1:2
Song
How Can It Be Lauren Daigle
I am guilty
Ashamed of what I’ve done, what I’ve become
These hands are dirty
I dare not lift them up to the Holy one
CHORUS:
You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be
How can it be
I’ve been hiding
Afraid I’ve let you down, inside I doubt
That You still love me
But in Your eyes there’s only grace now
CHORUS:
You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be
How can it be
Though I fall, You can make me new
From this death I will rise with You
Oh the grace reaching out for me
How can it be
How can it be
CHORUS:
You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be
How can it be
Sentence Prayer
Lord, we do not rush to do your will. Often we tiptoe our way into
obedience, dragging old habits and mindsets with us. Help us to
delight at your voice and to trust that your calling is always good
news. Amen (Common Prayer a Liturgy of Ordinary Radicals pg
57)
