Snippet
John Boy [Narrator]: Christmas is the season where he give tokens of
love. In that house we received not tokens but love itself. I became the writer
I promised my father I would be and my destiny led me far from Walton's Mountain.
My mother lives there still. Alone now for we lost my father in 1969. My
brothers and sisters, grown with children of their own, live not far away. We
are still a close family and see each other when we can. And like Miss Maime
Baldwin's fourth cousins, we're apt to sample the recipe and then gather around
the piano and hug each other while we sing the old songs. For no matter the
time or distance, we are united in the memory of that Christmas eve. More than
30 years and 3,000 miles away, I can still hear those sweet voices.

Bells will be ringing this sad sad news
Oh what a Christmas to have the blues
My baby's gone I have no friends
To wish me greetings once again
Choirs will be singing Silent Night
Christmas carols by candle light
Please come home for Christmas
Please come home for Christmas
If not for Christmas by New Years night
Friends and relations
Send salutations
Sure as the stars shine above
But this is Christmas
Yeah, it's Christmas my dear
It's the time of year to be with the one you love
So won't you tell me
You'll never more roam
Christmas and New Year
Will find you home
There be no more sorrow
No grief and pain
And I'll be happy, happy, once again
Ooo, there be no more sorrow
No grief and pain
And I'll be happy, Christmas, once again
Sentence Prayer
Lord
In you we always
Have a nest
A home
A friend.
