Snippet
This is what separates artists from ordinary people: the
belief, deep in our hearts, that if we build our castles well enough, somehow
the ocean won't wash them away. I think this is a wonderful kind of person to
be.” ― Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life
Scripture
He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the
earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending
and descending on it. Genesis 28:12

Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay
Yeah, I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin
You got to lose to know how to win
Half my life's in books' written pages
Live and learn from fools and from sages
You know it's true
All the things you do, come back to you
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Sing with me, sing it for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Dream on, dream on, dream on,
Dream until your dream come true
Dream on, dream on, dream on,
And dream until your dream come true
Dream on [7x]
Sing with me, sing it for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing it for the tear
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Sing with me, sing it for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing it for the tear
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away
Sentence Prayer
Lord, give us the imagination to dream and catch glimpses of
the life you intend for us to live. Show
us how our individual lives are entwined with those around us, and help us to
live so truly together that we embody your good news in this world. Amen

Radicals 2010 Zondervan pg 430)
